Wireless Message

Last week when Jadon was able to get to school in time to play on the playground, no one was using the slides because they were all wet with heavy dew (it was a foggy morning). He had wowed everyone with daring to go down (apparently he had gone down so fast he plopped onto the ground at the bottom of the slide). When I saw him again, he was at the top of the slides standing alone with a crowd of kids at the bottom chanting, 'Do it! Do it! Do it!' as he smilingly looked around, taking in the attention with his soaking wet pants. He did go down again (without plopping onto his butt), & afterward lots of other kids followed him onto the slides (after all, he'd nearly dried one of them for them), but we had to have a talk about peer pressure & trying to evaluate decisions based on whether it would please God or merely people. Poignant learning moment.
