he has ears!

finally gave Jadon his first haircut in probably over 2 (maybe 3?) months, & it was a funny process.  At first I thought I'd just trim the long hair, but then he looked like a Beetle from the 60s, so I ended up going for the typical haircut he's had since a toddler, though a bit longer than usual.  at first he said he was sad he wouldn't be able to twirl his hair up at the back, but it's actually long enough still to do it.  & it was funny to use the shaver on the sides of his head & actually see his ears again!  jadon had a good time cutting my hair as well.

Chyann is a girl at Jadon's grade whom Jadon has admired for awhile. Tonight Jadon told me, 'When I grow up, if Chyann loves Jesus, I think I will marry her.' I asked him if he ever plays with her, & he said 'No.' He further explained, 'Sometimes when we're on the playground when Chyann is swinging from the rings in one direction, & I'm coming in the other direction, she kicks me in the stomach. I fall down & look up at her gloomingly because I want to marry her.' (I think he means 'longingly', but I wish I could've seen his lovelorn face at that moment! By the way, the way Jadon describes it, it seems Chyann simply jostles Jadon with her legs.)
